AKMICARE FOR OILY, ACNE-PRONE SKIN

Many people suffer from acne or spots and a significant number suffer from late onset acne which can appear from the late 30's onwards
Many products are available as either over-the-counter medicine, cosmetic counters or on prescription.
All these products only address part of the problem.

AKMICARE is a completely different management strategy.

Naturally - based key ingredients are released gradually into the skin changes the conditions to reduce oil production , reduce the risk of 'pore' blockage by normalising the diameter of the hair follicle duct where the blockage forms

The Cleanser , Lotion and Cream work on the surface and in the skin to create the appropriate environment for healthy, spot-free skin.
Each product has it's own management role, but for best results the 3 products should be used together twice a day, followed by a two-product regime for maintainance care to the skin condition has resolved retaining the Lotion for acute situations should they re-occur.

It is important to remember that acne has no cure. but it can be controlled with the use of appropriate skincare products, selected medication as prescribed by your Doctor or Dermatologist and a healthy life-style including stopping smoking and excessive U.V. exposure.

SO HOW DOES AKMICARE WORK ?

Hormonal changes lead to the skin becoming sensitive to a hormone known as DHT - Dihydrotestosterone.
The skin responds by increasing sebum production (the oily secretion of the sebaceous glands), a decrease of natural skin cells shedding (retention hyperkeratosis) - so dead skin cells clump together- becoming more sticky and form a 'plug' in the sebaceous duct, which in turn has become narrower as the internal pore walls thicken.
The skin's bacteria (p.acnes) start to digest the plug producing biproducts (lipids and dead skin cells)  which then causes inflamation.
Bacteria are therefore not the primary cause of the acne - but their response to the changes in the skin leading to spots.
If you can control the underlying sensitivity then the bacteria will not be such a problem.

AKMICARE addresses this issue .
Naturally-based agents are released gradually into the skin - resulting in a normalisation of the DHT which results in a normalisation of sebum production and a return to effective skin shedding results in less debris and sebum build up and normalisation of the pilo sebaceous duct.
Excess bacterias are controlled through the inclusion of 4 anti-bacterials
The resulting optimised skin condition is further enhanced by ingredients which improve barrier function to maintain skin moisture levels.
